FAVOURITES
MAKEUP
- Lime Crime Bushy Brow Gel 'Clear' - I would like to personally thank Lime Crime for creating the best brow gel that has ever existed. Nothing holds my unruly brows in place like this does. I love the skinny brush because you can really get into the brow and make sure everything is locked in and I feel like the shape is really great for shaping the brows. This sets really quickly and doesn't feel heavy at all, if you do touch your brows they will feel slightly crunchy but that's what I want from a brow gel because that's how I know my eyebrows are secure. It just feels like hairspray, it's nothing awful. I wish Lime Crime was more easily accessible in Australia so I could stock up on these, but I'm willing to go through some hoops to get this because I really love it. If I've spoken about this in a favourites before, sorry, I just can't get enough of this!
- Colourpop Lippie Stix 'Aquarius' & Essence Shine Shine Shine Wet Look Lipgloss 'Behind the Scenes' - These are the lip products that I'm currently panning so you'd think I'd be indifferent about them, however, the two paired together is the most gorgeous combo and I'm just obsessed with it. Behind the Scenes is a great gloss, it's just clear but I love how glossy it is and it's very comfortable to wear, so it alone is a favourite. I'm not crazy about Aquarius on it's own because it's a creme finish and I'm not really into that anymore, I love the colour but I wish it was matte. My issue with creme lipsticks is that they're too shiny for a lipstick but not shiny enough to look like a gloss, so by pairing Aquarius with Behind the Scenes it's fulfilled my pinky nude glossy lip dreams, and I couldn't be happier with it. I'm not usually the type to layer lip products, but this combo is so beautiful.
SKIN CARE
- Carmex Classic Moisturising Lip Balm - I took a little break from Carmex in January through the beginning of February because I was using a TonyMoly lip balm, and I didn't realise just how much I'd missed it until I started using it again. I'd had this awful dry patch in the corner of my lips that wouldn't go away and as soon as I switched back to Carmex it was gone. I really feel like it heals my lips and keeps them nourished longer than a typical lip balm. I don't feel the constant need to reapply this because it has long lasting effects. I really don't think I ever need to buy a lip balm from another brand ever again because this works so well for me.
- TonyMoly Peach Hand Cream - I got this as a Christmas gift and I was so excited because this is just the cutest little hand cream! The container is shaped like a peach and it's even shaded to look like a peach, it's adorable. I also love the scent of the product, it's peachy but I also get a hint of zesty passionfruit. It's not too thick and it sinks into the skin quickly, can feel a little sticky but I probably just put too much on because I only really used hand cream after work when my hands are extremely dry.
NAIL POLISH
- Inglot Nail Enamel '362' - This nail polish is just fantastic, it has a nice skinny brush, applies very smoothly and in a thin layer but it's opaque in one coat! The colour is beautiful and the polish dried really fast and didn't bubble or anything! I'm very impressed. This lasted so well, three or four days without chipping (and could definitely go longer), didn't leave my nails feeling brittle when I did remove it, and it didn't stain my nails. I love this nail polish and look forward to adding some more Inglot polishes to my collection!
