EMPTIES
- Revlon Nail Enamel 'Demure' ($13.95) - This wasn't my favourite colour, but this is one I wore a lot because I was panning it. It's like a peachy-coral tone that's really wearable, but not something I necessarily wanted to always reach for. It's not completely finished, but what little is left in the bottle is just unusable so I'm calling it empty. I've used so much of this that it's just not worth it to force myself to struggle with the last bit of product.
- Juno & Co. Microfiber Velvet Sponge ($9.00) - I don't like this sponge, it doesn't push the product into the skin, it just makes foundation sit on top of the skin so you end up looking really weird and plasticy. It doesn't soak up as much product as a regular sponge so you get a more full coverage finish, but I don't like that, I want my skin to still look like skin. This would probably be good for use with powders, but I don't bake or anything so there's just no use for it in my routine.
- NYX Epic Ink Liner 'Black' ($18.95) - This is really sad because there's still product in this but the brush is frayed and the tip keeps bubbling and leaking so it bleeds on my eyes and transfers now, it's just not usable. I liked this liner, but I still prefer gel liners over liquid. If I was going to buy another liquid liner it would probably be this one, but $19 seems like a bit much, it'd have to be on sale.
- 16Brand 16 Juicy Toks Mask 'Peach and Apple' ($2.00) - I like these for some extra hydration now and then but I don't use them very often because they're not the best, they're just convenient. I'll probably keep buying them, but I don't think sheet masks are something I really need.
- Drunk Elephant A-Passioni Retinol Cream (SAMPLE) - This is a 1% retinol and honestly I think it's too strong for me. My skin became extremely irritated after using this, and while I know that's normal for retinol, I just don't want to put myself through that. I got a lot of redness, my skin felt extremely sensitive and sore, and my skin began to peel really badly and got super dry. This is a powerful cream, and I don't think I was ready for it, I really regret using it, and I didn't even use very much!
- MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation 'NW10' (SAMPLE) - I really liked this foundation, the colour isn't perfect for me, it's a little too yellow, but it's close enough. I find that this lasts really well, and I like the way it makes my skin look. It doesn't enhance any texture or dryness, and it covers my redness really well. I'd say it's a medium buildable coverage, but it still looks like skin which I really like.
- Biordema Sensibio H20 Micelle Solution 100mL ($11.99) - I like this micellar water better than Garnier, but I still don't love it. My skin is very sensitive and although I didn't have a reaction to this, my skin still felt raw after using it. This is also pretty pricey compared to the Garnier so I don't know that I would repurchase it. I have a Mecca Cosmetica micellar water that I want to try before I make a decision as to what my favourite is.
- Swisspers Makeup Pads 80 Pack ($3.80) - I liked these cotton rounds, they didn't fall apart or disintegrate when you put product on it, and they just did a good job of removing my makeup. I'd repurchase these in the future, especially if I can stock up during a sale.
- Neutrogena Makeup Remover Night Calming Cleansing Towelettes 25 Pack ($7.99) - I find these to be a bit abrasive on my skin so I think I really need to switch to something else, but I don't know what to try because my skin is so sensitive to everything.
