WISHLIST
This will probably be a long post because my birthday is coming up and I just keep adding to the list of products I'm interested in! But the whole point of creating this wishlist is to force me to look through everything I have saved in my phone because I'm 'interested' in it and really think about why I want it and if I really do want it, or if I just got caught up in marketing images. Will probably do an update at the end of the year to see whether or not I bought any of what's mentioned here, and may do updated smaller wishlists throughout the year because that would be a lot easier than just doing a massive one.
FOUNDATION & POWDER
- Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation - Ever since seeing Jeffree Star's review of this foundation I have just really wanted to try it, I don't know why. It's $70 but there's just something in me that wants to give this foundation a go, I'm just willing to blindly trust both Dior and Jeffree Star on this one.
- L'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation - As I have dry skin, a dewy finish foundation sounds perfect to me, I just worry that there won't be a shade that matches me, and that's all that has really stopped me from trying this foundation. I find it really hard to find cool toned fair foundations from drugstore brands so while this foundation is always in the back of my mind, I don't know that I'll ever be able to use it.
- Maybelline Fit Me! Loose Finishing Powder - I've heard really good things about this powder and I've used the pressed version in the past and liked it, the only issue was the colour that was too dark. If I'm able to find this in translucent, we're good but if not I sadly won't be able to use this powder because their fairest shade in the pressed line was much too dark!
- NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop Foundation - I don't know that this foundation is really suited to my skin type, but I really want to try it. The fact that it's a drugstore foundation that comes with a pump really excites me, and I haven't had terrible experiences with NYX foundations in the past. I'm always willing to try a new foundation, and this is something that I don't have in my collection, full coverage matte.
- Too Faced Born This Way Foundation - Since Too Faced finally added a lighter shade to their foundation range (called Cloud) I've really been wanting to try it out, I don't know that I'll buy the foundation but I would like to pick up a sample and just see if it works for me because I'm worried it's still going to be too yellow toned for my skin.
- Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder - I have dry skin so I really don't have a need for a mattifying powder but this just looks like the most beautiful powder, I love the packaging, it smells like peaches, and I've heard nothing but good things about it. If I'm going to invest in a high end powder I want it to be this because this contains 35g of product which is massive, and I've never heard a bad thing said about it. I have a lot of faith in this powder and would really like to try it.
- Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frost in Crystal Ball - I think this is the last Skin Frost I want to add to my collection, white highlighters just really appeal to me because I'm very fair and I didn't love Ice Cold so I'm hoping Crystal Ball will fill that void in my heart.
- Jeffree Star Cosmetics Supreme Frost in Hypothermia - When the Supreme Frosts first released I didn't think I wanted this one but seeing people wear it changed my mind completely, I think it's the most interesting and unique in the range and there isn't anything like it in my highlighter collection. Plus, I would like to own at least one of the Supreme Frosts because they're just fancy y'know.
- NYX High Definition Blush in Double Dare - I follow a makeup artist on Instagram who almost exclusively uses this blush and it's really beautiful so I want to give it a try. It's a stunning truly vibrant hot coral with a bit more of a red undertone. It's like a flaming orange and it looks wonderful.
- Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes in Tipsy and Captivating - I own a few of the Tarte blushes but they're in more muted or deeper Winter-y tones so I would like some Summer options because I do really like them, I just don't always reach for them because of the colours I've got. Captivating is a peach which we all know I love, and Tipsy (which I really want) is more of a coral and it just looks so fun!
- Tony Moly Cheektone Single Blusher Cream in #CO2 Orange Ponia - I love cream blush, and I love orange blush so I just feel like this is meant to be. Plus, the packaging on this is so adorable, it looks like a little Pantone swatch! Once I finish up my Benefit Majorette, or maybe even before I finish it, I'll be picking this up. All the colours in this range are really cute so I may even grab a couple more.
- Too Faced Frosted Fruits Highlighter Stick in Pink Lemonade - First of all, the packaging for this has little lemons on it and I'm all about that, secondly, the colour is a pink to gold shift which I really have a weakness for when it comes to just about anything. I think the name is perfect for the product and I just love cream highlighters so I will definitely be picking this up when it finally launches in Australia.
- Yves Saint Laurent Couture Highlighter in Pearl - This is one of the highlighters that has the envelope design and I own one of the envelope blushes and just adore it so I feel like I'd love the highlighter too. Realistically I really don't need this, but it's so cute and I just want it and that's what this whole list is about, stuff that I want.
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel - Everyone says this is the best brow gel out there and now that I've found one that genuinely works for me (my beloved Lime Crime Bushy Brow Gel) I'm curious to see what makes this different, besides being much more expensive. But, even though I have a brow gel I love, I'm always in search of others because it is something I go through frequently so its handy to have backups, and fun to try new things.
- Colourpop Pressed Powder Shadow in Bratty - This is a beautiful matte orange and I just love orange eyeshadow so I feel like I need this. It has more of a yellow undertone than the other oranges in my collection so I feel like I can justify it.
- Inglot AMC Gel Liner in 87 - This is a beautiful deep teal colour and I already know that I like the Inglot gel liners so I'm very interested in this, the only thing preventing me from buying it is that I don't know how often I would wear it. But who knows maybe it would become my staple eyeliner.
- Juvia's Place The Tribe Palette - This is a green themed palette which is very trendy at the moment, and while I don't typically wear greens I think it might just be that I don't really own any matte greens so I can't create green looks. Anyway, this palette is just very visually appealing and I feel like it has the most cohesive colour story of any Juvia's Place palette which is probably the real reason I'm as interested in it as I am, and props to Juvia's for getting out a trendy green palette before it really explodes and becomes overdone.
- L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise - I've seen people compare this to the Too Faced Better Than Sex which is my favourite mascara so I want to see if they are similar because this is a little cheaper than the Better Than Sex.
- NYX Epic Ink Liner - I'm curious to try this because I don't own a black liquid liner and I think it's something I should learn to use, I've heard good things about this one so I just want to give it a go.
- NYX Ultimate Brights Shadow Palette - This just looks like the perfect staple colourful eyeshadow palette, and while I do have lots of colourful eyeshadows, the greens, blues, and purples in this palette are unique to my collection.
- Rimmel Scandal Eyes Wow Wing Mascara - I saw Shanxo use this and it looked really pretty and I do love most Rimmel products I've tried so this is another one I just want to test out!
- Strobe Cosmetics Creepy Cute Palette - I want this palette because it will fill the void in my heart where the absence of the Kat Von D Pastel Goth palette is. When the Pastel Goth released I wasn't into makeup, or I was just starting to get into makeup and I remember just thinking that palette was so beautiful, like I would think about that stupid pastel rainbow palette to no end. Fast forward to today and KVD is a brand I no longer want to support, not that I could buy the Pastel Goth anyway, but Strobe have swooped in to save the day and fulfil all my pastel dreams with this little palette. Every time I see someone use this I just think it looks so beautiful, it's pigmented, it blends effortlessly, and it has the perfect pastel shades to accompany any look. Pastel purple? Pastel lime? Yes please!!!
- Sugarpill Pro Pan Pressed Eyeshadows in Flamepoint, Tako, Love+, Buttercupcake, Suburbia, Voltage, Acidberry, Tokyo, Mochi, Sixteen, Velouria, Hypnotic, Bittermelon, and Arsenic - I am so curious to try Sugarpill's eyeshadows and I just want to build my own pro palette so bad!! The colours they have available are just so unique and exciting and I will definitely eventually fill a pro palette because I can't control myself when it comes to buying colourful eyeshadow.
- Suva Beauty Hydra FX Liner in Scrunchie - This is a stunning neon pink that I think would make a beautiful accent liner, or it was also just be really handy for more editorial looks. I know I like the Hydra Liners so I'd love to pick up a few more colours.
- Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette - This just looks beautiful, I'm really interested in metallic and foiled shadows at the moment and this palette has everything I could ever need in terms of foiled shadows. This is another strong contender for a birthday present to myself.
- Colourpop Lippie Pencil in Chi Chi - I know that I like the Colourpop lip liners and I don't own a single orange lip liner despite all my orange lipsticks so I'm leaning towards this one because I trust the formula.
- Colourpop Lippie Stix in I Ain't Bad Atcha - I Ain't Bad Atcha was from Colourpop's back to school collection and I just wanted everything in that collection, the colours really spoke to me because it was all vibrant oranges, deep grays, and deep blues, and this is another vibrant orange that I just love.
- Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip in Steelo, Paper Moon, and Dust2Dust- I love Colourpop's glosses, especially the sheerer ones with glitter in them and Steelo has a peach tone to it... it's just meant to be. Dust2Dust is similar but it's almost like a gold, it looks very scary in the tube but the lip swatches appear to just be a clear/slightly orange tinted gloss with beautiful gold sparkle. Paper Moon is like my favourite Colourpop gloss, PS, and is a coral with shimmer and I love PS that much that I'm willing to buy anything similar so that I never run out of it.
- JD Glow Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in That's Bae - I own one other JD Glow liquid lipstick and I find the formula to be decent, I just don't love the colour of it. That's Bae however, is a dupe for Lime Crime's Velvetine in Squash which I have lusted after for years, and it's much cheaper than Lime Crime. It's just a stunning yellowy orange nude that I can't get over.
- Jeffree Star Cosmetics Lip Ammunition in Star Witness - This just looks like a really pretty peachy orange and I'm a sucker for that kind of colour! I only own two other Lip Ammos and I think they're really cool so I'd like to expand on my collection.
- Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick in Weirdo, Hunty, Scorpio, Christmas Cookie, Mannequin, and Sagittarius - At this point I have become a Jeffree Star Cosmetics hoarder, and I just want to fill some of the gaps in my collection. I don't want every shade in the collection, but I want every colour I like because I trust the Velour Liquid Lips. They're just one of my favourite lip products so of course I'm going to collect all my favourite colours in my favourite liquid lipstick formula.
- Lime Crime Matte Velvetine Liquid Lipsticks in Cashmere and Kady - Cashmere... I have other greiges in my collection but I find that they pull quite brown on me, but this looks much more purple toned than what I own so I would like to try it because I love grey toned purples, I just haven't been able to find the perfect one. Kady on the other hand is a very pink nude and I just think it's so cute, I have a lot of pink nudes, but none that are this pink, it just looks beautiful.
- Lime Crime Plushies Soft Focus Lip Veil in Marmalade, Rosebud, Milk Tea, and Dahlia - I have a mini Plushie in Toasted Marshmallow and I love the effect that it gives to the lips so I am interested in collecting a few more. I just think they're really cute, I love the concept, the packaging, the names! They're just neat. Marmalade is a beautiful peach and I am a sucker for peaches, Rosebud is a beautiful pink, Milk Tea is a brown nude, and Dahlia is a more mauvey nude. They're all colours I gravitate towards and could see myself wearing often, if I was to just buy one it would definitely be Marmalade, and it might end up being my birthday present to myself because it just looks beautiful.
- MAC Powder Kiss Lipstick in My Tweedy and Mull It Over - These are both another two peachy lipsticks but I don't own any MAC lipsticks so I'd like the first I try to be a colour I know I'm going to love, and the Powder Kiss formula really intrigues me.
- Menagerie Cosmetics Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick in Leo - I've heard really great things about the Makeup Monsters liquid lipsticks and Menagerie is just Makeup Monsters rebranded so I assume it's the same formula so I'm very curious to try these. This colour is a beautiful pumpkiny mustard orange that I don't have anything like in my collection so I'm seriously considering this one!
- Too Faced Peach Kiss Moisture Matte Long Wear Lipsticks in Got Peach? and Disrobed - I'm still hooked on the Too Faced Peaches 'n Cream collection and because it took so long to get to Australia it was put on the back burner for me but ever since I saw images of these lipsticks I knew I needed at least one of them. They have beautiful lux packaging, but then the actual lipstick bullet has peaches imprinted into it like the stars on the Colourpop Lux Lipsticks... STOP IT!!! That's so cute and I need one simply because they're cute and I bet they also smell like peaches.
- Too Faced Rich & Dazzling High Shine Sparkle Lip Gloss in Social Butterfly - I need to see this one in person before I make my final decision on whether I want this or not, but it looks really beautiful. It's probably the only item that got my attention in the Too Faced Pretty Rich collection because the rest of it was bland, but this is a gorgeous peachy multichrome gloss with glitter in it, which I'm a fan of. My only concern is that these are going to be too glittery, nearing metallic, which I'm not interested in at all. This is an item I will definitely reassess after seeing it in store.
NAIL POLISH
- Cirque Colours Nail Polish in BAM - This is a pinky coral creme that just looks so fun and I don't have any pink cremes in my collection! I've heard very good things about Cirque Colours polishes and there's just something about this colour that I'm really drawn to.
- KBShimmer Nail Polish in Race Against Slime - This is basically the green I've been looking for, it's a neon lime that just looks stunning. The only reason I'm hesitating on buying this one is that it's a UV activated polish and I don't know that I really need that, but the colour is very enticing, I'm also unfamiliar with this brand so I don't know if it'll be good or not.
- Kester Black Nail Polishes in Original Detox, Cherry Pie, Petra, Perennial, and Typhoon - Kester Black polishes are my absolute favourites so I if I do add more polishes to my collection I would prefer them to be from Kester Black. Unfortunately they don't have the most extensive or innovative colour range, but they do have some really beautiful polishes and fun limited edition collections.
- KL Polish Nail Polishes in Cha Cha Cha, Cozy In There?, South Peach, Miss Honey, and Lumiere - I'm not really a Kathleen Lights fan, but she just has some really interesting colours in her range that I would like to try, these are quite low on the wishlist if I was organising it by what I want most to least, but I am interested in them.
- OPI Nail Lacquer in A Good Man-darin Is Hard To Find, A Grape Fit!, Did It On Em, Hot & Spicy, and In My Back Pocket - I'll be honest, I don't need these, but these colours are calling to me. In My Back Pocket, A Good Man-darin Is Hard To Find, and Hot & Spicy are all oranges which is one of my favourite colours to wear. A Grape Fit is my favourite kind of purple, but I do have a similar colour from Kester Black so this one isn't a priority for me, and Did It On Em is like an acid green which I don't have anything like in my collection and I just like the name because it reminds me of the 'you know I had to do it to em' meme.
- Zoya Nail Polishes in Tilda and Midori - I've never tried Zoya polishes and these are both greens (of which I own none) so I'm very interested in these. Tilda is a creme and Midori has a shimmer through it which is how I'm justifying wanting both of them to myself. They are a much more muted, appley green than Did It On Em which has more of a yellow tone to it. I'm leaning more towards Midori than Tilda because it's more of a true lime green which is what I have been really lusting after lately.
TOOLS & ACCESSORIES
- Beauty Blender Blender Defender - I really need one of these for travel because currently when I travel I keep my sponges in a plastic zip-lock bag and that's not very sanitary.
- Ela Cosmetics Beauty Sponge 2 Pack - These sponges are apparently very soft and are only $20 for a duo so I want to see how this compares to the Beauty Blender which is $30 for a single.
- Morphe M250-0 Detail Liner Brush - This is a super fine, tiny precision liner brush and I don't really have anything this tiny or thin in my collection and I think this would really come in handy.
- Jeffree Star Cosmetics Orange Travel Bag - I want this because it seems like the perfect size makeup bag. Currently when I'm travelling I have to bring two or three makeup bags because nothing is quite the right size, but this is deep, it has pockets, it just looks perfect and I love the colour!! I also like the pink version of this bag, but I'm leaning more towards the orange.
- Jeffree Star Cosmetics Star Mirror Orange - I have a shitty hand mirror that just isn't useful so I want to invest in a good one, and I would prefer something cute so I want either the orange star mirror, or the ice cream mirrors from Jeffree because there just isn't anything else like them on the market, they're fun hand mirrors! How cute is that?
- XO Beauty Solid Brush Cleaner - This is just much more cost effective than the Beauty Blender solid cleanser so I'd like to give this a shot.
