PROJECT LIP PRODUCTS

As I've been trying to pan lip products this past year, I've felt like I've really neglected the rest of my collection, which is an issue because I own more lipsticks than any other item in my collection. As of October 2018 I own 77 lip products:
Lip Liners: 4
Lipsticks: 28
Glosses: 6
Liquid Lipsticks: 39 
(I have included minis/deluxe sized samples into my numbers because they're still items in my collection - items purchased in bundles have been counted as individuals e.g. the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Equality Lip Bundle came with 8 minis so I have added 8 liquid lipsticks into my total.)

So, rather than just focusing on finishing a few lipsticks out of my whole collection, I thought I would let myself rotate through my entire collection, and not stress about finishing off anything. I was inspired by Steph Rose's Lip Challenge in which she uses every lip product in her collection once before using it a second time, and Sofie Alexandra's Lipstick Roulette in which she chooses five random lip products from her collection and focuses on using them over two weeks to decide whether or not they will be kept. 

For my "Project Lip Products" (not my best title, I know) I want to take an approach similar to that of Steph Rose in which I use every product in my collection at least once before I can start wearing the same shades for a second time. However, I think having complete freedom to choose any lipstick in my collection will mean I just end up focusing on the colours I always wear anyway, so I will set aside lipsticks to focus on for each round. 
The general rules will be; I will select a number of lip products to wear over a period of two months, and I must use each lip product once - wearing them for more than just a try on so I can really understand how they wear and fully form an opinion on them. If a product doesn't get used, it will be rolled into the next round. Each round I will pick ten lip products, and if I use them all and still have room to try more, I will select other products from my collection to use as I feel like using them. When picking products for the month I want to choose colours that I feel are appropriate, that I know I will want to use, and something that will challenge me. For some of my Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks (which will be the most challenging) I will be using them as eyeliners because they're not really practical as lipsticks in my everyday life because of their extreme colours. There are some products that I can't use on their own so I may mix products (e.g. lip liners and liquid lipsticks) and may have to reuse my lip liners as I only own four. 
I hope by doing this I can cut down my collection more and learn to appreciate the products I own, rather than just buying more and more -  because I definitely went overboard buying lip products this past year.

• Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick 'Perla'

I will be continuing to use my Colourpop Lippie Stix in Button until it is finished because it is so close to being finished but it is the only exception to this project!
