I don't know how to feel about this look. I think my base looked great, maybe a little too bronzey, but it looked pretty. This was my first time trying the Hourglass powder and I liked it, my skin looked super dewy to the point that I even looked a little sweaty, but it was good to see because usually my skin is so matte. The tone of orange that I used on my eyes wasn't quite what I wanted and I think that threw everything off - I should've used a more red toned orange. In this photo I'm not wearing my lipstick yet but I also think it wasn't the best match for this look. My eye shadow is fine, I just think it would've looked better with a different lid colour. From Blue Moon I used Moonlite through my crease and on my lower lash line as my transition shade, and I really blew this out, then I took Fine China to deepen the outer corner, crease, and lower lash line. I cut my crease and packed Hologram from VR Neon over my lid, with Sky Walker on the very inner corner.

Sorry this photo is such bad quality, my camera just hasn't been cooperating lately. This wasn't the look I planned for today, I wanted to wear a winged liner but my Fenty liner dried up and I didn't have time to mess around with gel so I've just got my bronzer over my lids and blown out in the crease. There isn't anything wrong with this look and it was appropriate for the brunch I was going to, it just doesn't feel like me or my style. It's just the eyes that make me feel that way I think because I like this lip combo and my base - also this photo is ugly so that doesn't help.

This was just a good makeup night. My skin looked great, I was really happy with how all the colours were looking together, I rediscovered how much I love my Colourpop creme lipsticks. I think the fact that my hair was looking good really influenced my confidence and made me feel better about the whole look. I've just got Hypnotic through the crease and then I cut the lid and set it with translucent powder before topping it with Shockwave from Electro-Turquoise. I focused my blush more on the centre of my face and I really like how it looks! I also love this lip colour and really need to start wearing it more.

JULY 10TH

MAC Matte Lipstick in Love U Back
Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip in Champagne Mami
I really love how this turned out, I didn't have an idea of what I wanted to do going into this I was just playing around and it turned out so great. This is definitely a look I'll wear again for going out! I started with Two to Mango through my crease as a transition, then deepened my crease with Velouria. I mixed Bulletproof and Tokyo and packed that onto the outer corner and brought it through the crease/winged out the shape a bit, I went between layering the two and just mixing them until I was happy with the colour and depth, making sure to go in over the edges with Velouria so everything blended nicely. Then I packed Grace on the lid (I had to spray it but really should've just used a glitter glue), and Arsenic on the lower lash line (which I blended out with Secrets). I have Neffree on my inner corner and as my face highlight and I forgot how much I loved it, I like coloured highlighters anyway but this one is so stunning on my skin tone!! For my lips I focused Velvet Teddy around the edges of my lips and put Love U Back in the centre and blended them to get a bit of a gradient, I topped it with Champagne Mami just for some more texture and to help the colours blend a bit more because I'm not a huge fan of how ombre lips look on me.

JULY 11TH
Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation in Light Porcelain
Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer in C0.5
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent
Jouer Blush Bouquet Dual Blush Palette in Adore
Colourpop Super Shock Cheek in Flexitarian
Lime Crime Venus Palette
Colourpop Pressed Powder Shadow in Wait For It
Colourpop Yes, Please! Palette
Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in Punch
Essence Volume Stylist Mascara
Colourpop Lippie Stix in Topanga
Iconic London Prep Set Glow in Original
I think maybe I should've gone with a nude lip with this? But the nudes I tried on made my eyes look really dull so I don't know. I think this looked a lot better in person than it does in this photo. For my eyes I started with Rebirth (Venus) low in the crease and all over the lid, then took Wait For It to blend out, and then blended it out with Mischief (Yes, Please!). I used Full Zip (Yes, Please) to blend out any harsh edges from there. On the lower lash line I just have Rebirth and Wait For It. Working dark to light created a really seamless blend so I might start using that technique more.

JULY 12TH
Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer in C0.5
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent
Jeffree Star Cosmetics Alien Palette
Juvia's Place Tribe Palette
Kaleidos Makeup Futurism IV: VR Neon Palette
JD Glow Cosmetics Galaxy Liner in Translayed
Coloupop Creme Gel Liner in Electric Daisy
Essence Volume Stylist Mascara
I don't really like how green eyeshadow looks on me but I think this was cute. The liner is actually a multichrome so it looks much more impressive in person than it does in photos. I started this look off with Flying Saucer (Alien) all over my lid and a little in the crease (but only low) and I actually had a hard time working with that shade, it faded really badly and created awful bald spots. Maybe next time I'll use an eye primer with it. I used Glitch (VR Neon) to blend out Flying Saucer and then took Maasai (Tribe) to blend out Glitch. I really like how the blending looks when I work dark to light so I might stick with this. I layered Koro (Tribe) over Flying Saucer on the lid to give it some texture and hide the bald patches. On the inner corner I have a mix of Pluto and Alien (both from the Alien Palette), and my lower lash line is just Flying Saucer and Glitch.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Rose Gold
Juvia's Place Tribe Palette
Essence Volume Stylist Mascara
Colourpop Lippie Pencil in Brink
Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in Growing Pains
MAC Fix+
I think this turned out cute! I wanted to do just a nice smokey green liner with a really fresh looking base and I think I achieved that. I think my skin looks really good although I could've used a brighter highlighter, and I love this lip combo!!! This was relatively easy and I could see this becoming a go-to for me. I used San from the Tribe palette as my liner and it worked great, I just used an angled brush to sketch out my lines and fill them in and then just gently blended the edges to smudge them a little.I ran some bronzer through my crease before doing my liner and also used it for faux freckles. I tried soap brows but because my brows are so thick they didn't really hold.

JULY 19TH
Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer in C0.5
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent
Jeffree Star Cosmetics Blood Sugar Palette
Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette
Glaminatrix Foiled Shadow in Tropical
Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frost in Princess Cut
Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in Deception
Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in Piggy Bank
JD Glow Cosmetics Liquid Gel Liner in Candy Paint
Essence Volume Stylist Mascara
I like how this look turned out, I worked from dark to light again and I think that's really making a difference in my looks. I started with Coma (Blood Sugar) on the outer corner of my eye, I packed it onto the lid there and brought it through the crease slightly but kept it very low. Then I took Raspberry (Jawbreaker) on the inner half of my crease and blended it into Coma. To blend everything out I used Bubblegum (Jawbreaker). On the lower lash line I have Coma closest to the lash line, then Raspberry to blend it out, and Bubblegum to blend out Raspberry. I cut my lid and packed on Tropical but it wasn't quite the right tone and also wasn't as metallic as I was hoping for so I topped it with Deception. I've got Princess Cut on the inner corner with a little bit of Deception too.

JULY 20TH
Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer in C0.5

Sugarpill Pressed Eyeshadow in Tokyo
Glaminatrix Matte Eyeshadow in Sweet Peach
Colourpop Pressed Powder Eyeshadow in Secrets
Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette
Sugarpill Pressed Eyeshadow in Arsenic
Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in Boots
Essence Volume Stylist Mascara
I'm not in love with this look, I think I could've incorporated the green better and maybe added some darker tones of pink. I started with Tokyo on the outer corner and through the crease, blended it out with Sweet Peach, and then took Secrets over the edges to make sure the blend was seamless. I've got Cotton Candy on my lid and Jawbreaker (both from Jawbreaker) on my inner corner - Cotton Candy stained my eye really badly. On my lower lash line is just Arsenic. This isn't a bad look, it just could've been better.

I think this turned out cute! My eyes are a little wonky but that's 100% my fault, I should've been more careful. This was only meant to be a half cut crease but I smudged concealer on the other half of one of my lids and had to make it a full cut crease and one side I pulled out too far - this is also why I'm wearing lashes. I smudged a little bit of my foundation when I was putting my lashes on so I added faux freckles to hide that, but I think it all came together nicely. For my eyes I started with Delicious in my crease and on the outer corner, keeping it low so I could blend it out with Soaked. After Soaked I used Brain Freeze to make sure the edges were completely blended, I did the same thing on my lower lash line too - I love how these three blues look together. I cut my lid and then packed Fuck all over, but because it was so matte I decided to put Dim from Spectral over the top of it (this is the only shade I used from Spectral), but it didn't really change anything. On the inner corner I have Snack. I didn't wear eyeliner on my waterline for this look because I don't have any blue shades, but I think that would've made this look better. I also used Fuck as my blush shade and it worked really well.

Nudestix Plumping Lip Glace Lip Gloss in Nude Cherry
I don't know if I really like this look. I don't really like this photo and that might just be what's throwing me off but I couldn't get a photo of this look that I liked either. The blush shade I used was Light and I think it's pretty, it's just very sheer and I'm used to more pigmented blushes. For my eyes I started with Safe Word (Androgyny) as my transition shade and then deepened the outer corner and crease with Muse (Venus). Over glitter glue, I packed Infared onto the lid and put Plasma on the inner corner, overlapping Infared a bit (both from Cyber Bronze). My lower lash line is Carbon (Cyber Bronze) blended out with Safe Word. On my lips I've got Daddy with Nude Cherry just on the centre to change the tone and have a little bit of an ombre. I don't usually fill my eyebrows in but I just did a little bit here and I think they look good, it's definitely something I need to practise though.

My $1000 Sephora Fantasy Wishlist

MY $1000 SEPHORA FANTASY WISHLIST

Tag by Emily Noel

My cart total ended up at $998, and not all of these are things I think I would actually buy, but if I had this kind of money to spend I think I'd pick them up.

Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush in Petal Poppin - $33
I already have one of these blushes but the colour is a little too dark for me and I know this one would be perfect. I love cream blush and pink blush is my absolute favourite at the moment! I'd love to pick up more of these but not many of the shades suit my skin tone which is a shame.

Fenty Beauty Match Stix Glow Skinstick - $39
The Fenty Match Stix have let me down in the past but I really want this one to be different. My issue with the other one of these I tried was that it was way too dry and firm and just not easy to apply, but this one looks like a different formula and the sheen is absolutely beautiful so I just really wanna try it out. I'm willing to give these a second chance, but if this one is the same I'll be devastated.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Captivating - $41
I really like my Tarte blushes but the two that I have are very nude shades and I'm just more drawn to pinks and peaches. I've wanted this shade in particular for years now and just never bitten the bullet.

Carolina Herrera Good Girl Eau De Parfum 50mL - $152
This might be my favourite perfume of all time and it kills me that it's this expensive and this is the biggest size you can buy. I had a sample of this from when I went to a Sephora event and I just loved it but I haven't been able to bring myself to buy it because it's so pricey. I don't know if I'll ever buy this for myself, but I would ask for it for Christmas or my birthday.

Fenty Beauty Flypencil Longwear Pencil Eyeliner in Cherry Punk and Sea About It - $33 each
There is no reason for me to spend over $30 on a pencil eyeliner when the Colourpop ones work perfectly, but Fenty have some really interesting colours. Cherry Punk is a true red and Sea About It is a gorgeous deep blue. These are both colours I'm missing from my collection and I used to just use liquid lipstick when I needed red or blue but they've dried out so now I kinda need something like this. I've heard these wear really well and don't irritate the eyes which is important for me. This is one of the things that I don't know if I'll actually ever buy them, but I am interested in them.

KVD Vegan Beauty Everlasting Blush in Peony - $37
I'm really interested in these blushes because I love a matte blush, the colours look beautiful, and the packaging is stunning. Initially I was really drawn to the orange in the range, Poppy, but I know it'll be too dark for me and that I don't really like the way orange blush looks on me anyway. Out of the colours available, Peony looks like I would get the most wear out of it because it's a light pink shade.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Luminous Foundation - $71
I'm not sure what colour I am in this range but I have 110C in my wishlist because it seems like the closest match. I've heard good things about this foundation and I'm always on the lookout for a new foundation because I'm yet to find something that's perfect for me. I like natural/medium coverage with a satin finish so it looks like skin, and I'm hoping this will be that for me. I tried the Fenty hydrating foundation and absolutely hated it so I'm just hoping for a better experience this time around. I'll definitely get a sample before I commit to buying though.

Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara - $44
I hate spending a lot of money on mascara, but the people who talk about this one really love it so I'd like to try it. I wouldn't buy the full size of this, I'd get the mini or hope for a mini as a point perk or something.

Natasha Denona Love Glow Cheek Palette - $93
I don't know what it is about Natasha Denona but I just want to try the brand so badly! This cheek palette is the one that speaks to me the most out of the range, but I think the darker cream blush and the powder highlighter would be too dark for me, and I don't love shimmery blushes. However, it is something I would pick up if I had $1000 to spend at Sephora. I just want to see if it's worth it or not. There isn't a Sephora in my city at all so I can't even swatch the products which just makes me more curious.

Pat McGrath Labs Mothership V Bronze Seduction Eyeshadow Palette - $195
I couldn't make this wishlist without including at least one Pat McGrath product. Again, I don't know what draws me to the brand but I really want to try something from them. I love the aesthetic of the brand and how they market their products, but I don't know if anything in their collection would really suit me or my makeup aesthetics. If I was going to pick a palette from the line it would either be Bronze Seduction or the Divine Rose II, those are the only two that have colour stories that really speak to me. Divine Rose II isn't on Sephora yet so I went with Bronze Seduction, but I think I would prefer the Divine Rose II because it's mainly shimmer shades and everyone says that that's what Pat McGrath does best, and I want to get my money's worth if I'm spending nearly $200 on a palette.

Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist - $38
I have plenty of setting sprays that I like and don't really need to try any new ones, but Tati used to rave about this all the time and it's always in the back of my head as something I would like to try out. I prefer hydrating sprays to regular setting sprays so I'm sure I'd like this, but I have tried a Pixi spray in the past and didn't love the actual spritzer. This is also kind of expensive so I might as well just keep buying MAC Fix+. Either way! If I ever see this in store it is something I would probably pick up or at least test out.

Zoeva Complete Eye Set - $130
I'm in desperate need of new eye brushes and I love the quality of Zoeva brushes so this was a no brainer for me. I don't need another makeup bag and wish I could buy the brush set on it's own, but it's fine. I love how this set has liner brushes, pencil brushes, packing brushes, and blending brushes, it really is everything you could possibly need and I don't think there's a brush in this set that I wouldn't use. They come out at about $11 per brush which is a great deal too.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-In-Stick Lipstick in Corail Intuitive - $59
I got a mini of one of these lipsticks (in the shade Corail Incandescent) in my beauty loop box at Meccaland last year and fell in love with it. The formula is glossy and comfortable, wears beautifully, and the colour I had was really flattering. I would love to try some different shades from the line but I don't know if I can justify spending nearly $60 on what's essentially a gloss stick when I can buy Colourpop glosses for under $10. I do love the formula though.

June Empties

EMPTIES

  • Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick Mini Equality Bundle ($75.00) - I've been waiting until all of these dried out to finally count them as empties. This was a set of eight mini liquid lipsticks that I bought back in September 2018 when I met Jeffree, and some of these dried up within a year. I hate that these dry out so quickly, but I do feel like I got my money's worth out of them, I use these as eyeshadow bases, eyeliners, lipstick, brow pomade, all sorts of things. I didn't love all the colours and I found that the formula wasn't the same for every colour, but I still enjoyed the set. I wouldn't repurchase this whole bundle because I know I wouldn't use them all again, but I would repurchase Flamethrower because it is just the perfect orange lip for me. The shade Equality is still usable, but it was never a shade I used often which is why I've decided to finally call this an empty. I'm going to keep the bundle box and all the lipsticks in it because these remind me of going to Princess Polly Live.
  • Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss in Naked (SAMPLE) - I like this gloss but it's nothing special. It's not sticky and has a nice minty scent, you can't feel the glitter in it, and I like the colour. I just wouldn't pay Urban Decay prices for this because it doesn't last well and it's not as glossy as my Colourpop glosses. I got this little sample at Meccaland and I'm glad I got to try it out, but I won't be buying it any time soon.
  • NYX Epic Ink Liner in Black ($18.95) - I've decided to call it quits on this one because I can't get a sharp line anymore and it bleeds on my inner corner every time I use it now, the last one of these I had did the same thing and I think it's a sign that they need to go. I like this liner, it's a little shiny but when it's fresh I can get really thin and crisp lines because of the brush tip so I overlook the fact that it's not matte. The two of these that I had I got in a goody bag from a NYX event so I've never bought one myself but I think it's worth it. I got over six months use out of this, I don't think I would pay full price but if I could grab it on sale I would definitely repurchase it. I don't always wear liner but when I do I know I can trust this one and I find it really quick and easy to use, and it's not too difficult to remove either.
  • Dior Diorshow Pump 'n' Volume HD Squeezable Mascara in Black (SAMPLE) - I liked the length I got from this and it gave just a little bit of volume that made my lashes look nice and full, but sometimes it looked spidery. I also found this difficult to remove and it irritated my eyes a bit. I wouldn't buy the full size of this because it's ridiculously overpriced, and I only really got three months use out of it and with others I can get six.
  • John Frieda Frizz Ease Dream Curls Shampoo 250mL ($15.99) - I still like this and will continue to use it, but my curls haven't been as defined as I like lately. My hair has really been frustrating me lately and I don't know what I need to change in my routine.
  • Pretty Serious Cosmetics Nail Polish in Cutie Patootie ($11.45) - I liked this colour, it was a really pretty warm pastel purple, but it was a bit streaky and didn't last long on the nails at all. This brand doesn't exist anymore so I can't repurchase this anyway, but I will look for another polish a similar colour.
Total value of products used up: $121.40

This looks better in person than it does on camera, the shimmer in the Natasha Denona shade just doesn't show up in photos. I just haven't been feeling very confident lately and I think that translates into my makeup. This is pretty, but you can tell that I don't feel good. I really liked how my eyeshadow looked and thought this lip was nice but I just wasn't comfortable. I started this eye look with Flamepoint through the crease and on my lower lash line, and then I used Yes, Please! for the rest of the look. I used Spoiled to deepen the crease and outer corners, made sure all my edges were blended with Full Zip, and packed Chauffeur on the lid over the glitter primer. My highlight is the yellow shade from the NYX palette.

I think this turned out really cute ! I used Love+ through my crease and on the outer corner and used Watermelon to blend out the edges before going in with Full Zip from Yes, Please! to make sure everything was blended perfectly. I sort of cut my crease with the glitter glue and packed Grace on the lid, making sure it was blended with Love+. The shimmer was a little too dark for what I normally like so I tapped a bit of Deception over the top of it and put it on my inner corner as well for some brightness. On the lower lash line I just have Velouria, but I think I could have gone with a slightly darker or more taupe-y purple.

I really like how this turned out, I don't usually like how teal looks on me and it always seems to wear off strange so I made sure to use an eye primer for this look and I think it really helped. On my eyes I started out with Phantom (Spectral) as my transition and then deepened the crease and outer corner with Digiteal (Electro-Turquoise). I used Phantom under my eyes as well. I cut my crease with concealer and then added glitter primer on top of that before packing Lemonade on my lid, on my inner corner I just have a little bit of Soft & Gentle. Crssd matched the lid colour almost perfectly but didn't wear very well which was a shame. I really like this lip colour and need to use it more, it's really similar to Can't Relate from Jeffree Star but doesn't look as dry on the lips (but it does feel dry), it was perfect for a soft-lip look like I was going for though!

I think this looks cool, I wish I could have gotten a smoother line on the cut crease where the silver meets the brown, but this was my first time trying this shape. I started by taking Droid and Y2K from Cyber Bronze and blending them in the inner portion of my crease up into my brow, I used these shades later on to blend out my lower lash line too. I took Carbon (Cyber Bronze) to create a big wing shape and also brought it across the lower lash line. I cut my lid and packed Plasma (Cyber Bronze) all over, then I layered Shockwave (Electro-Turquoise) on top. On the inner portion of my lower lash line I have Wake Me and Cloud from Lilac You A Lot layered.
