A Year Of Empties: 2019

MAKEUP EMPTIES

This year I didn't stick to my project pan, so I'm really interested to see what I was able to organically use up without putting the pressure of a project on myself. I will be doing a project pan next year, but who knows how long that'll last. This year I was just really content with my collection and enjoyed using different products as I felt like it, maybe with my next project I just need to be less restrictive. Last year I kept all my empties for a year, whereas this year I've just kept makeup related items - it was just too much to keep with skincare and hair care too. 

This year I was able to finish up:

BASE

• Primer: 3 (2 minis, 1 sample)
• Foundation: 4 (3 samples, 1 full size)
• Concealer: 1
• Powder: 1 Pressed Powder, 3 Loose Powders (2 full size, 1 mini)
• Facial Sprays: 3 (1 travel size, 2 full size)

EYES

• Brow Gel: 2 (1 tinted, 1 clear)
• Eye Primer: 2 Samples (one got thrown out, another Too Faced Glitter Glue)
• Cream Eyeshadow: 1 
• Eyeliner: 1 Liquid Liner
• Mascara: 5 (1 full size, 4 minis)
• False Lashes: 3

LIP PRODUCTS

• Lip Balm: 6 (4 full size, 1 mini, 1 sample - threw out sample)

TOOLS

• Sponges: 4 (one got thrown out accidentally - Ela Cosmetics)
• Brush Cleaner: 1 (I did use more than this but I didn't count them for some reason)
• Cotton Tips: 2 Packs
• Cotton Rounds: 3 Packs

OTHER

• Nail Polish: 3
• Nail Polish Remover: 3
• Perfume: 5 (1 full size, 4 samples)

SKINCARE

• Moisturiser: 3 (1 full size, 2 minis)
• Toner: 1
• Face & Eye Masks: 11
• Skincare Samples: 10 (serums, exfoliators, oils, retinol etc.)
• Makeup Wipes: 8 
• Pore Strips: 1 Pack

Total value of products used up: $977.05 

Last year I used up $1144

I'm really happy with the amount of products I was able to use up this year, and it shows that I don't really need a project pan to force me to finish things off. There are some categories of products I finished last year that aren't here this year which are due to project panning however, so if I want to use up certain products I definitely need that extra push.
