Reviewing All My Jeffree Star Cosmetics Palettes

REVIEWING ALL MY JEFFREE STAR PALETTES

Androgyny
This was my first ever Jeffree Star Cosmetics item, so it holds a bit of a special place in my heart. When he revealed this palette I was so in love with the colour story, the grungey tones, I just wanted it so badly. The formula of this palette isn't my favourite, it's not as good as Blood Sugar, but I love this palette because it represents the start of my JSC collection. Safeword is clearly a favourite of mine, I used to reach for it just to wear all over my lid and blended out into the crease, it was my go to look for months - it also makes a great contour shade. The blues and green are unfortunately really tough to work with, they're patchy and hard to blend. But the rest are pretty nice, the other mattes are blendable and pigmented, and the shimmers are pretty, they're just not as intense as I like. I don't reach for this palette a whole lot because it's not really a cohesive colour story and I don't really know what to do with it unless I use it with other palettes. I really need to make an effort to start using this more!

Blood Sugar
This palette is like my baby, I'm so precious about it. I don't use it a whole lot because I want to keep it in new condition, I love it that much (but that's ridiculous and I really should just use this more). I love the neutrals in this, the shimmers are beautiful (especially Candy Floss), and all shadows are soft, buttery, and easy to blend. These just perform so well and never get patchy on me. I love them. I've always had an obsession with red eyeshadow, and before this palette came out it was impossible to find so when this launched I had to have it. I love the colour story, the concept, the packaging, it's just so special. I love how you can use this for neutral looks, red looks, purple looks - it's surprisingly versatile. I love using this with other pinks and purples in my collection as well, and I'm never disappointed in the looks I create using this.

Jawbreaker
What drew me to this palette was the fact that it's not a regular rainbow palette, there are variations of colours so you can actually create full looks. I loved that there were pastels, neons, and brights in this palette, and even some dark shades to deepen - but I was mostly drawn to the pastels and brights. I was really excited about the yellow metallic because where do you ever see a true yellow shimmer??? While I don't love every shade in this palette, there's so much I can do with it by itself or in combination with other palettes that it really doesn't bother me. This palette really inspires me and I find myself using different colour combinations and textures that I never would have before. I love the freedom and versatility you have with this palette, I've done monochromatic looks, super colourful looks, cut creases, pastel looks, I've even used shades as a blush. I'm so glad I have this in my collection, I had really high hopes for this palette once the inspiration was revealed and I think it's lived up to them.
