Reviewing All My Colourpop Palettes

REVIEWING ALL MY COLOURPOP PALETTES

Yes, Please!
I really love this palette, I've clearly abused it but that's because I focused on panning a few shades in this and I always take this as a travel palette as well. The mattes are beautiful and soft but still really pigmented and easy to blend. This yellow is my favourite yellow in my collection because of how easy it is to use and how pigmented it is. I don't love the shimmers, I would reach for other things in my collection before I used these, but they do still get used. They're not really shades I reach for a lot, and they're not as metallic or foiled as I like my shimmers to be. My favourite shades in the palette are the matte cream as it's the same colour as my skin, the matte orange in the first row, and the yellow. Often I'll wear just the yellow all over the lid and blended out into the crease and under my eyes with an icy highlighter in the inner corner and it's one of my favourite looks. This is really just a great warm toned palette that I get so much use out of because it's so versatile! I'll reach for this even when I'm using other palettes because I love the shadows in here that much - I always bring this with me when I travel because I know it always works.

Ooh La La!
I actually kind of regret buying this palette, I was so excited when it launched because it was the first of Colourpop's monochromatic series and I love pink eyeshadow, but it's just not my perfect pink palette. The pinks are all different tones so when you use them together they don't look cohesive, there's a mix of cool and warm pinks which bothers me - and I hate the gold. Was it so hard to put in beautiful light, icy pink metallic? Why gold!!!!! When I use this palette I pretty much always use it in conjunction with the It's My Pleasure palette, or I'll only use the shades Poodle, Soft Core, and Tickled. I just prefer to use the pink singles I have because they all go together rather than this mess of neutral pinks mixed with hot pink and warm purples. I also just don't really like how these shadows perform, Sandbar is really dry and has to be built up a lot, Tickled is super chunky and hard to use, and the purples are patchy and difficult to blend which is super frustrating. Soft Core and Poodles are really nice and soft, easy to blend, and pigmented, and I put up with how crumbly Tickled is because I like the colour, but that's about all the use I get out of this palette. I still do use it pretty regularly and I do like what I'm able to create with it, I just would've made some changes.

It's My Pleasure
This palette is beautiful, I love the shimmers and the mattes all perform really well. I usually use this along with the Ooh La La! palette because it has a midtone purple (Caddy) in it that's missing from this palette, but I don't like that shadow as much as the ones in this palette. These aren't patchy and they blend really easily. I really like the way purple eyeshadow looks on me and I really didn't have many purples in my collection before I bought this. This isn't a palette I can really do a full look with just because of the matte to shimmer ratio and the lack of variety in the tone of the mattes, so I tend to use this with other palettes but I like having just a little purple companion palette because it's not a colour I wear all the time.

Blue Moon
I really love this palette, I love that it's a gradient of colours rather than a random mix of tones like it is in Ooh La La! and It's My Pleasure. I think with this palette you can get some really beautiful cohesive looks because it has everything you need. You do get some fallout with these shadows that's hard to remove because it's blue, but as long as you do your eyes first it's fine. Every look I've done with this has been stunning and I'm just so glad I bought this. The shadows are all really soft and easy to use, the only one I struggle with is Clued In because it's a bit more dry and firm, I think it might be a pressed pigment because it feels like Sandbar. I have no regrets whatsoever buying this palette, it's easily my favourite Colourpop palette now, and I'd say these are the best blues I have in my collection too.
