MAKEUP

  • Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow 'Deception' - I bought this at Meccaland, Stila was one of the first booths you came across upon entering and I saw this and had to have it. Stila wasn't even a brand I'd thought about buying anything from at Meccaland but this shade is just so beautiful that I knew I would regret not picking it up. It's a topper shade, but I think it's more opaque than Ballet Baby (or maybe I just like it more than Ballet Baby), it's got this beautiful shift from lilac to pink to green, gold, and blue. It's just stunning and goes with everything!! Lately I've really been craving light shimmers but all my eye shadow palettes are lacking them (rude), so instead I've been putting this on top of light mattes, and it's just the most beautiful transformative shade. I always liked the Stila glitters, but I've never fallen in love with a shade as much as this one.
  • Maybelline Master Strobing Stick '100 Light/Iridescent' - No cream highlighter ever compares to this one. I keep buying high end stick highlighters and they're always too dry and they're glittery and they're just not this. I love this highlighter so much because it's just the perfect wet look for my skin tone, I can wear this with or without makeup, and it's pink toned!!!! It's so hard to find a pretty pink toned highlighter that's cool but not icy, and this is it. If anyone is looking for a drugstore cream highlighter I would absolutely recommend this one I just love it so much! (This is a repurchase! I panned a full one last year, that really says something about how I feel about it.)
  • MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation 'NW10' - I really like the way this foundation makes my skin look, it's a little too yellow toned for me, but I can get away with it. I don't know I just think this looks really nice especially around my eye area, and it doesn't seem to emphasise my dryness which is great. It wears really well too! I can understand why it's such a staple for people, but I still wish the bottle had a pump.
  • Nars Climax Mascara - I bought this back in January but didn't open it until June and when I did open it it was so dry and I was mad. I really didn't like this mascara to begin with because of how dry it was, and having just finished a tube of Better Than Sex it just wasn't giving me what I needed. But the more I use it the more I like it, it's definitely not as good as Better Than Sex as in it doesn't make my lashes as long or as full, but I still like the length I get and it does volumize. It doesn't flake on me at all which is great, and I find it really easy to remove (no eye irritation!). I do find the brush a little too big sometimes so I have to sort of tilt my head when I apply it because I will bump my eye lid otherwise, but that happens with Better Than Sex too.
  • Essence Lip Liner in In The Nude - This lip liner is just the best, I can wear it under anything because it's so neutral, but it also matches a lot of my nudes really well. I think it really helps with the longevity of my lipstick, and if it does wear off I have the liner underneath holding up. It is a little dry, but it's not so dry that I feel like I'm hurting my lips when I apply it. I don't know, I just like it and want to buy like four back ups, y'know?
