First impressions after swatching; unfortunately the photos are a little washed out and not exactly true to colour which is why I've put in the descriptions of each shade above. Redhead really had to be built up just to get to this point, it's quite dry and sheer. All the Colourpop shadows are very soft and pigmented, and I didn't feel the need to build them up. I've only played with a few of these shadows, and not enough to really form any opinions on them so I'm really excited to get to using this palette! I think the colour story is cohesive and I can already put together looks I want to do. I can also see myself using this with products like my glitters or cream shadows because I could use this as a companion palette as well! I'm really happy with the variety that I have available to me with these singles.

I wore this look to go see Katya! I was trying to recreate a look I'd done for a friend's birthday but I don't think I was successful. I used Beach Blanket as my transition shade, with Paper Tiger over the top to bring in the mustard tone. I used Bel Air to deepen the outer corner and crease (but in hindsight I could've gone darker). Under the eye I put Paper Tiger and focused Bel Air on the outer third. On the lid I used my Colourpop Jelly Much Shadow in Foxes, for my inner corner highlight I just used my Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Vanilla Quartz, and I put my Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in Punch on my waterline. I was really happy with how all the shades performed, they were all really soft, pigmented, and easy to blend!

For this I just used Secrets, I really love the way this colour looks on my skin tone, it makes a great transition shade but also a really pretty soft look when worn all over the eye. I could even use this as a blush if I really wanted. It's actually a lot darker on me than it looks in this photo, and it pulls sort of peachy on my skin tone. I love this eyeshadow because it's so versatile, it's really soft and easy to blend, and the colour builds up really quickly. It's not one of those pastel pinks that you have to apply eight layers of before you can see anything, this one has pigment from the beginning and gradually gets darker the more you build. Because it is so pale I don't know how this would work on skin that's darker than mine, but for anyone with pale cool toned skin, this is perfect.

First of all, my liner smudged and transferred. We're gonna ignore that. I like how this look turned out except for the smudge. I used Beach Blanket as a transition and blending out shade, with Paper Tiger all over the lid and in the crease, Cannonball under my eye, and Tiki as an inner corner highlight. I love these colours together and I think with the wing it just looked really cute. I also put my Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in Punch on my waterline and I think that really brought everything together. I wish Tiki was more shimmery, it translates as a satin on the eye and I don't really know how to use satins. I was really happy with Beach Blanket and Paper Tiger, they're both really pigmented and soft, blended out really easily and didn't really need to be built up. Paper Tiger is just the most perfect mustard shade and I really really love it. Cannonball did have to be built up a little, but it wasn't sheer to begin with, I just wanted the colour to be more concentrated if that makes sense. I did apply all these shadows with a fluffier brush and not any packing brushes so they are softer than if I'd used a shader brush, but I really like the effect.

Here I used Bratty and Take Flight together to make a more pumpkin-y orange shade. I was fairly happy with this except for my liner smudging, but I did notice Bratty was a little patchy as well. That might have just been because I applied it with a fluffy brush though. This was over a set base as always and the shadows were still very pigmented and easy to blend.

This was my Meccaland look! I used Bratty and Cannonball in my crease and under my eyes, I also used the shades Full Zip (as a base), Louie (highlight on the lid), and Butter Cake (inner corner) from the Colourpop Yes, Please! Palette. On my lid I also used the shade Kurla from my Juvia's Place Tribe Palette. I used the Too Faced Glitter Glue under the shimmers but I found that it made the mattes I tried to blend over the shimmers look patchy. I was pretty happy with this and got lots of compliments on it but I did find Bratty and Cannonball to be a bit patchy and sheer, I noticed a few bald spots on my eyes and other bits stuck to the primer weird and got really dark. It was a bit frustrating.

For this I just wanted something simple and neutral so I used Beach Blanket as a transition through my crease, then I went in with Bel Air to deepen and focused it in the outer corner, lower in the crease, and across my lower lash line. On my lid I wore Luscious from the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette (literally my favourite eyeshadow in my collection). I was pretty happy with this, but I could've gone darker I think just for a bit more definition - or maybe worn liner. Either way, I did want this to be soft and subtle and I did achieve that.

First of all, I know my liner looks bad. we're just going to ignore it, okay? I used Redhead on my lid and under my eye here with Wait For It as a transition and Secrets to blend out the very edges. I'm very surprised with how well Redhead performed, I packed it on to the lid and it built up to a really opaque true red pretty quickly, I did have to load my brush up with product because it doesn't pick up on a brush too well, but after that I really didn't put a whole lot of effort in. It looks more pink in the photo but in person it definitely translates as red which is super exciting. I really love the colour of Wait For It and it's a real shame that Redhead completely dominates because it has the most beautiful tone and I was really happy with how it performed. It was super pigmented and blended really easily, I just went in with Secrets lightly for extra security.

Here I used Beach Blanket and Paper Tiger in my crease, I combined them with some shades from my Kaleidos Makeup Sci Fi Green Palette (the mustard matte and gold metallic). I was really happy with how this turned out, if I had used Bel Air to deepen it just would've gotten muddy, so even though this doesn't have a lot of depth I still think it's pretty. Beach Blanket and Paper Tiger and some of my favourite shades in this palette because they're so pigmented and easy to use, they blend like a dream and I just love them.
FINAL THOUGHTS
- I like all the shades in this palette, but it's definitely one I reach for for specific shades, like Paper Tiger and Cannonball. I'm just drawn to certain colours more than others.
- This could benefit from some shimmers/metallics for sure, but I like to use this palette in conjunction with another palette or with my cream/liquid shadows. It's just not a complete palette, but there's still so much I can do with it. I feel limited with the pinks in particular, I really need some different finishes there, especially because the pinks don't exactly work together cohesively.
- I've been in a bit of a creative rut lately so I didn't push the boundaries as much as I could have with this palette. I could have done more creative looks and more interesting colour combos, but I just wanted to wear what I felt comfortable with.
- I absolutely love the yellowy shades in here, Paper Tiger is the perfect mustard, Tiki is a really beautiful canary shade that is so bright and fun, and Beach Blanket just makes for the best transition for warm looks. I've really been loving gold eyeshadow lately and using these singles along with a gold has just been a dream.
- All of these shadows were really easy to use, great pigmentation, soft and easy to blend. Loved 'em!! The only exception would really be Redhead, but it did end up surprising me, it applied much better than it swatches, but it wasn't as easy to use as the Colourpop shadows.
