May Empties

EMPTIES

  • Beauty Care Co Makeup Remover Pads 2x100 Pack ($1.50) - These aren't my favourite cotton rounds, they break apart really easily and they don't hold much product, but they do the job. I'm yet to find some really good cotton rounds, but I'll probably stick with using these for a bit because they're a good price and they're easily available.
  • Neutrogena Makeup Remover Night Calming Cleansing Towelettes 25 Pack ($7.99) - I'm working through all the backups of these I currently have, I think these irritate my skin a little and in the future would like to switch back to a cleansing balm rather than using wipes.
  • Daiso Japan Cotton Swab 350 Pack ($2.80) - These were fine, they were nothing special, but I did like how many were in the pack. Not all of the cotton tips were the same size which was a little annoying, and the packaging was too tall to store in my drawers which was a pain. I would probably buy these again because they were a great value, this pack lasted me a good four months, but I don't have access to a Daiso here.
  • Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation '0 Cool Rosy' (SAMPLE) - I loved this. This was a beautifully sheer foundation that just made my skin look perfect, it still looked like skin but the finish was dewy and beautiful. This also wore perfectly, I tried it with a few different primers and it didn't alter how it wore at all, I also tried using setting spray vs not and either way this foundation just stayed looking fresh. It didn't cling to dry patches and it didn't break down during the day or transfer at all. The full size is pricey, but it's also much larger than a standard foundation and I only needed the tiniest amount of product for my full face when using this, it just really perfected my natural skin and gave a beautiful finish.
  • MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ 30mL ($25.00) - I really love this, it just melts all the powders on my face together and makes my makeup look like skin again, it brings this dewyness back that I just can't get enough of. I got this in my goody bag at Princess Polly live and am so glad I got to try it this way because I don't think I would have just bought it for myself out of curiosity. I've since bought the full size of the coconut scent and I'll continue to repurchase this in the future!
  • Eyelure Voume No. 070 False Lashes Pre Glued ($10.99) - I liked these, but they weren't my favourite lashes. They looked a little synthetic and they weren't the easiest to apply, plus I feel like they just looked a bit too natural for what I want from a false lash. They were fine, but I don't think I'd buy them again. The fact that they were pre glued was cool, but using a lash glue isn't that much of a hassle and the fact that these already had glue on was a bit more limiting because you couldn't move them as much before they set in place.
  • Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels ($5.75) - I liked that these had a sticky side so they actually adhered to the face, but I did find that they stung a little bit. I didn't have a reaction at all but it wasn't exactly pleasant. My skin felt soft after using these, but I didn't notice anything else so I don't think I'd buy these in the future.
