My Lipstick Collection!

LIPSTICK COLLECTION

Lipsticks are my weakness when it comes to buying makeup so I've accumulated a lot (I bought 8 new lipsticks this past February... it's a problem), so I thought I might as well share what I've collected! My favourite form of lip product is bullet lipsticks but I do have a lot of liquid lipsticks as well (the hype got to me). Lip gloss and lip liner are definitely my least favourite lip products (so I won't be including liners in this list, but might as well mention glosses because I do occasionally use them).
I organise my collection using a lipstick tower and other acrylic draws/units, because I can't see the colours of all of them due to their packaging, I also keep a page where they are all swatched so I have something to refer to when picking colours. The following list is also going to help me to refer back to when I can't remember if I liked something or not! Below is a photo of my main lipstick tower, I wanted to keep my favourites/my larger brand collections here but, unfortunately my Urban Decay Vice lipsticks are too big for the spaces in the container. I keep my Colourpop lipsticks down the left side and across the back row, NYX in the third row (with on Jeffree Star straggler), Jeffree Star in the second row, and Rimmel, Stila, and Fenty lipsticks alongside more Colourpop in the front row. I sort each brand by colour so they're in a gradient because it makes it easier to find what I'm looking for.

BULLET LIPSTICKS

  • Colourpop Lux Lipstick 'Appy' - The lux lipsticks are the newest Colourpop products to my collection so I haven't had a chance to wear them but Appy is the most beautiful peachy nude.
  • Colourpop Lux Lipstick 'LA Lady' - This one made me distrust the Colourpop swatches, it looked like a beautiful rosy colour online but in person it's a dark brick brown. I'm a little disappointed with this one.
  • Colourpop Satin Lippie Stix 'Button' - This was my first lippie stix! It's a really pretty coral pink and I love the formula!
  • Colourpop Creme Lippie Stix 'Drop Top' - I'm obviously panning Drop Top this year, but I really do love the colour, it's like a more pink Appy. The creme formula is one of my favourites.
  • Colourpop Creme Lippie Stix 'Boys Town' - This is a stunning cool toned brown that still has a bit of warmth to it, super flattering.
  • Colourpop Matte X Lippie Stix 'Candy Paint' - Candy Paint is a pinky-mauve brown that pulls quite dark on me. I like the matte x formula, it's comfortable and more long wearing than the cremes.
  • Colourpop Matte X Lippie Stix 'Climax' - This is another disappointment, I was hoping it'd be more blue but it's definitely more in the purple family, it also feels more dry than the other matte x's I own.
  • Colourpop Matte X Lippie Stix 'Can't Wait' - A beautiful, creamy, warm brown, haven't worn this one much but the colour is stunning.
  • Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle 'Freckle Fiesta' - This was such a disappointment, I love burnt orange lipsticks and I was hoping this would be more like Pumpkin Pie from Jeffree Star but it's just too brown, plus it's pretty thick.
  • Essence Long Lasting Lipstick '07' - Quite a glossy formula, colour is similar to Button but more purple, I don't really love the scent (plasticy) so I don't wear this often.
  • Essence Matt Matt Matt Lipstick '03' - This is the only berry lipstick I own and I hate the colour on me, it swatches beautifully but the tone just doesn't suit me, I also don't like the scent of this one (really artificial sweet scent).
  • Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy Sculpting Lipstick '410 Dynamic' - Really pretty rosy pink that I never wear for some reason! The formula is really beautiful but I think it's a more mature colour that I'm not immediately drawn to when doing my makeup.
  • Estee Lauder Pure Colour Long Lasting Lipstick '18 Bois De Rose' - Very similar to Dynamic, just a touch more red, again, too mature for what I'm drawn to currently.
  • Estee Lauder Pure Colour Long Lasting Lipstick '117 Rose Tea' - The most nude of my Estee Lauder collection, and therefore my favourite, but I never wear it because I forget about it! The opaque packaging with no indication of colour makes me less inclined to pick it out I think.
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick '55 My Nude' - This is the oldest lipstick in my collection, I wore it for my year ten formal so it's very special to me. I love the colour, the scent, and the way it lasts and wears. It's a stunning peachy nude, darker than Drop Top.
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick '56 Boho Nude' - Almost the exact same colour as Appy, but a bit more yellow, a really interesting nude that I love the formula of.
  • Urban Decay Cream Vice Lipstick 'Abstract' - The most beautiful almost sandy colour, a pale yellow toned brown nude. I love this lipstick, it was a part of the Basquiat collection and I just had to have it because he's one of my favourite artists.
  • Urban Decay Comfort Matte Vice Lipstick 'Uptight' - Terracotta/dark coral nude, different to anything else in my bullet lipstick collection, absolutely stunning.

LIQUID LIPSTICKS

  • Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip 'Aquarius 2' - This is my oldest Colourpop liquid lipstick and it's starting to separate but still smells fine (so I'm keeping it a little longer), the colour is more of a cool toned nude.
  • Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip 'Times Square' - Looks identical to Aquarius 2 in the tube but has a warmer undertone on the lips.
  • Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip 'Buffy' - Buffy is the most beautiful caramel nude colour, it has a hint of orange that I personally love.
  • Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip 'Mama' - Another one the Colourpop swatches deceived me with, it looked orange online but it pulls really red on my skin tone, it definitely has an orange base and is more flattering than a blue toned red on me, but it was still very disappointing.
  • Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip 'Love Bug' - This looked much more cool toned online, and once again, pulls red on me (more of a brick colour). It's a dark brown very similar to LA Lady.
  • Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick 'Leo' - The perfect true light brown, darker than Buffy, but a similar tone.
  • Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick 'Deceased' - This arrived to me not entirely full (WTF) and I don't think the colour suits me, it definitely makes me look dead, I was hoping for more purple than grey but it's quite grey in colour. I thought it would be more mauvey than it is.
  • Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick 'Crocodile Tears' - I'll be honest, I only bought this because I saw Adore Delano pull it off, I don't know when I'll ever use it but it is a beautiful forest green that I think would suit me if paired with the right eye look and blush.
  • Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick 'Pumpkin Pie' - When I saw the release video for the Christmas 2016 collection I knew I had to have this one, it's the most stunning, flattering burnt orange I've ever come across.
  • Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick 'Family Jewels' - Family Jewels is like a purpley chocolate brown, it's really pretty but I'm not so sure it suits me.
  • Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick 'Nathan' - Nathan is my perfect peachy nude, I love it so much that I'm scared I'll run out of it and think I need backups, which is ridiculous because I've never used up a liquid lipstick in my life. It's the perfect balance of pink, brown, and orange and it's just so stunning and pairs really well with the types of eye looks I like to wear.
  • NYX Liquid Suede 'Sandstorm' - A pretty camel coloured brown, sort of cool sort of yellow, but I don't love the applicator on these lipsticks and would prefer they dried down.
  • NYX Liquid Suede 'Orange County' - My first orange lipstick, and it is traffic cone orange, I'm still a bit unsure about wearing this one but I think mixed with other colours it could be really pretty.
  • NYX Liquid Suede 'Stone Fox' - My first grey lipstick, but it pulls really blue on me (I've had this same issue with grey nail polishes as well), I still really like the colour but I was hoping for a charcoal grey.
  • Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick 'Perla' - This one is just a sample size that I got in a beauty loop box, I don't love the way it smells, and I'm not sure the colour suits me, it's a cool toned dusty pink that I think washes me out a bit. I'm going to experiment with this a bit more and maybe pan it next year.
  • Too Faced Melted Matte 'Sell Out' - This is a rosy pink that I was hoping was a bit lighter, but it pulls quite dark on me because of my natural lip colour. It swatches really nicely but I'm not the biggest fan of the colour on my lips.

LIP GLOSSES

  • Arbonne Glossed Over Lip Gloss 'Primrose' - Really pigmented gloss, baby pink colour, but it has a brush applicator which I hate and it smells really plasticy. I find it really sticky and it's just not a favourite.
  • Essence Shine Shine Shine Wet Look Lip Gloss '01 Behind the Scenes' - Just a basic clear gloss, I thought if I'm going to have any gloss, it should be clear so I can wear it with anything. I'm not crazy about the scent of this either and it is a bit sticky.
  • Essence Shine Shine Shine Wet Look Lip Gloss (No Label) - Really pretty beige gloss with shimmer, thought it would pair well with nudes. Kinda sticky and has that same fruity smell I don't like.
  • Korres Raspberry Lipgloss '30' - This is my favourite gloss, it's vanilla scented, and that peachy colour I love (like Nathan but a bit darker), not sticky and just really beautiful.

LIP BALMS

  • Nivea Repair & Protection SPF 15 - I managed to pan two lip balms this past two months so got this one out of necessity, I like it because it's quite thick and creamy, I feel like I don't need to reapply twenty times a day like I did with the others I finished.

Empties #2

EMPTIES

FEBRUARY - MARCH
  • Mecca Cosmetica Bright Eyed Hydrogel Eye Mask - Felt really hydrating under my eyes and didn't irritate my skin! Loved the scent and little glitter flakes in the masks, would repurchase!
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation ‘010 Porcelain’ - I really love the way this foundation looks on my skin, it lasts all day and it just works for me, I have repurchased already just so I have something to fall back on before I find my perfect cruelty-free foundation.
  • Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge - I have no issue with these sponges this one was just getting really old and gross, I've moved on to using a beauty blender so I'll use it to death before moving onto my backup of this one (bought in a two pack so I'm counting half the price - $14.50).
  • John Frieda Frizz Ease Dream Curls Shampoo 250mL - I really love the John Frieda line and this is probably my second or third bottle of this shampoo alone, have already moved onto a backup - only issue with it is the price (but it does last).
  • The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Shower Gel 250mL - The shower gel itself was nice, nothing special, but I really wasn't a fan of the scent. I prefer something a bit muskier and this was just straight up floral (was a gift, not really something I'd buy for myself).
  • Hurraw! Lemon Lip Balm - I'm not really sure how I feel about this one, it was hydrating but made the dry skin on my lips flake off in a weird way and made my lips look slimy which I didn't appreciate, on top of that the scent took some getting used to, so I don't think I'd repurchase this one. Overall, I think this was just too oily for me, I prefer a creamier lip balm.
  • Love Dem Bones Winter Clementine Vegan Lip Balm - I really liked this lip balm the only issue I had with it was that I used it up really quickly and it made my lips quite flaky. I might repurchase this in the future? I am yet to find the perfect lip balm.
  • Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion 71mL - I like this one because it's lightweight but still hydrating, doesn't clog my pores at all. Have moved onto a backup.
  • L'oreal Brow Artist Plumper Clear Brow Gel - Really excited to have finished this one up because I've 'finished' brow gels in the past but I'd never removed a stopper before and this time I really did finish it and get every last bit of product out! This isn't my favourite brow gel (not strong enough to hold all day) so I'm glad to move on to another
  • Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes 25 Pack - Went back to using these to remove eye makeup after discovering my allergy to micellar water, will be repurchasing.

Value of products used up: $115.80

Project Pan Update #2

PROJECT PAN UPDATE #2

This month was a little more challenging for me than January was as I went back to school so I felt less comfortable wearing makeup on a daily basis. However, I did find myself finding days where I wanted to wear a full face (going out, even some school and work days), but for the most part I stuck to mascara, highlighter, and eyebrow gel. I did go a little bit crazy after my no-buy ended so have decided to go back on it for March.
PRODUCT
PROGRESS (JANUARY 28TH)
PROGRESS (MARCH 1ST)
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber, and Green Tea
Used about 10% of the product

This one has been really easy to work through because my skin has been dry and it's been so hot

NYX Photoloving Primer
Used approximately 1/8 of the product
1/4 used
Maybelline Baby Skin Primer
Can see no new progress through the packaging but have used over an 1/8 now
A little over half of the product is left
Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation ‘010 Porcelain’

NYX Total Control Drop Foundation 'Porcelain'
(Marked progress) - nearly finished

Starting point - as of Feb 24, about 1/4 used?

Finished on February 22, started to spurt out (couldn't get a full pump), and scraping it would just get too messy so I decided to call this one done! Less than one use left in the bottle. Not really any visual progress but it is done.

Only got a chance to wear this twice before the update, but considering that I think this foundation will be gone fairly quickly

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer ‘15 Fair’
Have marked where I believe the product is sitting

Not entirely sure where the product is sitting but I think it's around this point

E.l.f. Under-eye Setting Powder
Visible progress (marked)

Haven't made a whole lot of progress because I use so little each time

Clinique Chubby Stick Blush ’02 Robust Rhubarb’

Struggling with this one!! But mainly because I'm not wearing makeup everyday

Maybelline Master Strobing Stick ‘100 Light-Iridescent’

This month I started wearing this on my body (shoulders, legs) as I realised that it was my last opportunity to before summer is over. Thanks to that extra use, I've made significant progress this month!

Maybelline Fit Me Set + Smooth Pressed Powder ‘120 Classic Ivory’
Dent is starting to form in centre of pan but is hard to tell in photos

I think I can see the first ring of the pan now but still haven't hit pan, think I'm very close

Jeffree Star Skin Frost ‘Peach Goddess’
More wear marks

Don't think much has changed - continuing to focus on the left side of the pan

Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette
Small dent in 'luscious', 'peaches 'n' cream', and 'bellini'

No real difference

Covergirl Full Lash Bloom Mascara
Approximately 1/4 left, very hard to tell but it is starting to feel lighter
I honestly have no idea how much is in there but the formula still seems okay and hasn't dried out so will continue with it
L’oreal Brow Artist Plumper Clear Brow Gel
1/4 left
Under 1/4 left - maybe 1/6?
NYX Wonder Pencil ‘01 Light’

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick ’55 My Nude’

I think this one is going to take me the whole year to use just because of how little you need to reapply and how solid the lipstick itself is, I'm struggling a bit

Colourpop Lippie Stix ‘Drop Top’

Because I was so focused on the Rimmel lipstick this one has fallen behind a bit

NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray
Over 3/4 of the product left (approx)
Approximately half done
One Direction ‘Our Moment’ Perfume
Very little left

Finished on Feb 10!! I decided not to put a new perfume in as a replacement because I just want to enjoy my collection from here out.

Summary: This month I finished two products, and decided to roll in a new foundation. I'm pretty happy with my overall progress, but disappointed that I couldn't hit pan on my powder or make some more progress on my lipsticks.
